Join us for some time in nature, tending to our community garden and beautifying our community. We will clean up the garden beds, water the plants, pick any ripe food and clean up the property if there’s any trash around the area.
What to wear/bring?
- Garden/work gloves (or you can borrow ours!)
- Dress in layers, wear hat + sunscreen
- Sturdy, closed-toe shoes/boots
- Water bottle + salty snack like trail mix if you'd like
Black United Fund of Texas will provide garden and trash collection tools. Restrooms are available on-site in the Bayland Center. Parking is available on the property as well and on adjacent neighborhood streets. The Bayland Center (2606 Greg St) is centrally located in fifth ward near downtown.
