We are exhilarated to host The Personal Librarian, a literary event featuring New York Times Best Selling Author Victoria Christopher Murray.
The event takes place at HCCAC Saturday, February 26, 2022 from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. in the evening.
Please see the following list of volunteer engagement roles:
- VIP Reception Host - Check guests in, issue wristbands, answer questions, give directions
- Hors d'oeuvres preparation - We will serve wine, chocolate, cheese, fruit, sliced veggies, and ham and olive rolls, etc. We will purchase the food, but need help preparing the trays for the reception - There are 60 slots reserved for VIP so we would need to prepare food for this number.
- Reception food and beverage server - serve refreshments to VIP guests
- Gift Shop Associate - work the gift shop during the event - 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. There will be 2 groups.
- General Ambassador - work the event - monitor hallways and offer guests assistance as needed.
- Usher - Give direction/escort to seats
- Docent - serve as a tour guide for the art exhibit for VIP guests and again after the event.
- Check-in Host - General Audience - Check guests in (confirm their tickets), issue wristbands for Reserved ticketholders
- Set up Crew
- Clean Up Crew - emptying trash, freshening restrooms
- VIP Restroom Attendant - women - provide hot towel service, lotion, for female VIP Restroom guest
- VIP Restroom Attendant - men - same as above.
- Concession stand attendant - sell concessions to general population 2:00 - 6:00
- Volunteer Coordinator: be responsible for organizing volunteers, checking them in, and giving assignments.
- VIP Attendant - this person will serve as the attendant for the author and Joy Sewing (the main moderator), ensuring their comfort, etc.
