Global Youth Service Day is the largest youth service day and civic action event in the world. The Department of Neighborhoods Volunteer Initiatives Program is partnering with Rebuilding Together Houston for an upcoming Service-Learning Project on Friday April 21, 2023. Wonderful opportunity to volunteer and provide assistance to help Repair Homes, Revitalize Communities, and Rebuild Lives. Youth, parents, school staff are welcome to participate in the upcoming service-learning project. Lunch and drinks will be provided for all volunteers! Waiver forms will be provided for youth and must be signed by parent or guardian.
Volunteer duties for service-learning project:
-Light carpentry
-Scraping, caulking, and painting
-Yard work
