Looking for dedicated individuals that would like to volunteer at the 4th Annual Alief Pre-National Night Out 2026 Event!!
Flyer will be posted soon!
National Night Out began in the early ‘80s and 2.5 million residents across 400 communities in 23 states turned out to build community relationships. Since then, National Night Out has grown to 38 million residents in 16,000 communities across the USA! In Texas, National Night Out is held on the first Tuesday of October and 344 cities participate. This event is intended to forge police-community relationships and raise awareness of community police programs such as Citizens on Patrol, Communicators on Patrol, Greater Houston Police Activities League (GHPAL), Positive Interaction Program (PIP) and other anti-crime efforts.
This year, the City of Houston’s Department of Neighborhoods (Mayor’s Assistance Office) and the Alief Super Neighborhood Council are hosting our 4th Annual Alief Pre-national Night Out event to be held Tuesday, September 22nd at the Alief Neighborhood Center. Like other National Night Out events, ours will offer an opportunity for residents to get acquainted with each other, city departments and the police and fire personnel who serve them.
