Every Monday and Wednesday, Hope Impacts offers the opportunity for the homeless community of Katy to come have breakfast, fellowship together, take a shower, and receive basic necessities and clothes.  We need volunteers to help us facilitate this program.

We are a foster based Houston area shelter rescue and in dire need of foster homes. We have many puppies and dogs, kittens and cats on a waiting list to get out of the shelter. We do not have a shelter and depend on individuals to provide a foster home to help us save them from the shelter. Once we have a committed foster home, we can save a puppy/dog or kitten/cat from the shelter. To foster you will need to care for the pet in your home and bring to adoptions on some weekends at one of our adoption locations until adopted.

Every Tuesday and Thursday, Hope Impacts partners with Cross Road Church to offer the opportunity for the homeless community of Katy to come and have supper, fellowship together, take a shower, and receive necessities and clothes.  We need volunteers to help us facilitate this program. Volunteers are needed for the Texas Challengers Quiz Tournaments (TCQT) middle school and high school Quiz Bowl tournament at Lycée International de Houston on Saturday, April 4. Most volunteers will serve as moderators and read questions to the students. Moderators will need to complete a quick 10-15 minute training before volunteering. Volunteers can also serve as scorekeepers. Training for scorekeepers takes about 5 minutes. Free pizza will be provided for lunch. Partial shifts are welcome.

Help Mesa Outreach retrieve donations from local grocery stores.  We need help on Mondays and Thursdays, 9am until complete, usually around 11 am.  You can volunteer as many days as you prefer, even a once-a-month commitment will help.  Volunteers need to be able to lift 50 pounds (most boxes are less) and have a truck.  Stores are 2-12 miles away. 

This food helps us feed our client families each month and is a vital part in making our mission work for our community.  

We distribute food every Tuesday morning and Thursday morning/afternoon for senior clients.  Help is needed to gather the food and deliver to their cars.  You can volunteer for shifts from 10am-1pm on Tuesdays or 10am-12pm on Thursdays.  We are in particular need for volunteers on Tuesdays.  We ask for a commitment to volunteer 2-4 times per month.  There is typically no heavy lifting, just putting items into a grocery cart and taking it to the clients' cars.  Please join us!

Cypress Assistance Ministries (CAM) needs cashiers for our resale store, Angels' Attic. Cashiers will be responsible for ringing up customers and accepting cash and card payments. They will also have responsiblities including keeping the store tidy, organizing merchandise and displays, and assisting customers throughout their shopping experience. No previous retail experience is necessary, just a good attitude!

All sales at this store will benefit Cypress Assistance Ministries. CAM is a 501c3 non-profit that benefits the Cy-Fair community. We provide rental and utility assistance, maintain a food pantry, provide job hunting resources, as well as other community services.

Cypress Assistance Ministries(CAM) needs volunteers to help in our donation center.

Our donation center is broken up into different departments; once you complete an orientation, you will be able to choose which department you would prefer to volunteer in. Departments include: donation intake, clothing, housewares, toys, accessories, electronics, and baby items. Duties vary by department, but include things like cleaning, organizing, sorting, pricing and displaying items in the store. We will provide training to all volunteers.

The donation center is open from 9 am - 3 pm, Monday through Saturday. Most volunteers start off working 3-4 hours, once per week.

All sales in the resale store will benefit Cypress Assistance Ministries. CAM is a 501c3 non-profit which provides assistance to the Cy-Fair community. We provide rent and utility assistance, maintain a food pantry, provide job hunting resources, and have many other programs to benefit our community.

Cypress Assistance Ministries (CAM) is partnering with some area grocery stores to help provide food for our food pantry. We just need some helpful individuals to pick up the donations from these retailers and help deliver them to CAM's facility.

Programs like this are wonderful resources for CAM, as they help us source items that would be otherwise difficult to source (such as bakery items and produce), and they help reduce food waste in our community.

Volunteers must have access to a vehicle suitable for transporting food items (an SUV or minivan would work perfectly, a sedan with sufficient trunk space would work as well). We will provide insulated bags.

We need weekly drivers for Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. You may choose to volunteer for one, two, or all three of these pick-ups.

At Memorial Hermann Cypress Hospital, our unique volunteer program offers you the opportunity to explore new directions, develop skills, make friends, and have fun! Students, professionals, retirees - everyone finds satisfaction in helping others.  We are currently seeking service minded adults to transport our patients, staff, and visitors to and from the hospital parking lots.  This position is very social and supportive.  Drivers often put passengers at ease as they attend an appointment or visit a patient.  We ask that volunteers commit to one shift per week, Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 11:45 am or 11:45 am to 4 pm. WHAM is focused on helping those in crisis return to self-sustainability.  Our pantry distributes nutritious food Tuesday - Friday.  On Fridays from 7:30am - 12:00pm we host a Drive through Food distribution serving 150 families or more.  Volunteers would assist with any of the following: client intake, direct traffic, load fresh produce and dry goods into trunks of cars, bag fresh produce and other items, and light clean up.

The Down Syndrome Association of Houston has a soccer program which meets weekly. We need volunteers to help teach basic skills and to make sure the coaching sessions are fun and fulfilling.

5 - 6pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday at our Campbell Campus (3911 Campbell Rd) or Pitner Campus (8526 Pitner Rd)

Help a child who is reading below grade level. Our mentoring program is designed to support the growth of our students on the fields, in school, and in life. Mentors are matched with a SpringSpirit participant in grades 3-12 and commit to meet in person at least once a month.  Mentors must submit to a background check and go through an orientation process before being matched with a mentee.  2 locations in Northern Spring Branch.  

Nurses (working/retired/student) are desperately needed by Project C.U.R.E.   We process donated medical supplies and equipment for donation to hospitals in developing countries.  Volunteers sort the donated supplies and nurses are always a huge asset to our work.    Nurses bring much needed expertise and can also serve as team leaders for other volunteers who inventory, sort, and pack the materials in preparation for shipment. The nurses' medical expertise helps insure that the teams correctly categorize and group the materials. Volunteer shifts can be arranged for weekdays or Saturdays

BIOMEDICAL/ Mechanical/ Electrical engineers and technicians are desperately needed at Project C.U.R.E. We send surplus medical supplies and equipment to developing nations. If you are skilled in this field, consider coming to our warehouse for about three hours a week to assess and repair donated equipment. Shifts can be arranged Tuesdays through Fridays and select Saturdays. Our warehouse is located at 8303 Kempwood (near Bingle).

About Us
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with us at Project C.U.R.E. Houston. Project C.U.R.E. is the largest provider of donated medical supplies and equipment to developing countries around the world. We would be delighted to have you join us and share in our mission.

WHAT do volunteers do?

Our volunteers help with all aspects of our life-saving operation. Volunteers sort donated medical supplies, prepare shipments, help manage our warehouse, and even work with our hospital partners to procure supplies. We also have volunteers who drive out to make scheduled donation pick-ups, test and repair medical equipment at all levels of expertise, help with fundraising and outreach, plan events, and assist with administrative needs.

We do not require any experience or medical background and will teach you everything you need to know.  With that said, we do love nurses and medical professionals! Engineers are also extremely valuable to us.  

HOW do I register?

New volunteers must create a profile online prior to volunteering.  

You can then log in using your user id/password to sign up for future individual volunteer sessions.

*Minimum age to volunteer is 15. Volunteers under 18 will be prompted to print a release form for their parent/guardian to sign. They must bring the signed form when they come to the warehouse.  This release expires at the end of each calendar year so an updated release may be needed.

Cypress Assistance Ministries (CAM) is opening a second resale and donation location. Our new location is in the Willowbrook area, and it needs some cashiers. Cashiers will be responsible for ringing up customers and accepting cash and card payments. They will also have responsiblities including keeping the store tidy, organizing merchandise and displays, and assisting customers throughout their shopping experience. No previous retail experience is necessary, just a good attitude!

All sales at this store will benefit Cypress Assistance Ministries. CAM is a 501c3 non-profit that benefits the Cy-Fair community. We provide rental and utility assistance, maintain a food pantry, provide job hunting resources, as well as other community services.

Cypress Assistance Ministries is opening a second location for our resale store and donation centers. We need volunteers to help us in our new donation center.

Our donation center is broken up into different departments; once you complete an orientation, you will be able to choose which department you would prefer to volunteer in. Departments include: donation intake, clothing, housewares, toys, accessories, electronics, and baby items. Duties vary by department, but include things like cleaning, organizing, sorting, pricing and displaying items in the store. We will provide training to all volunteers.

The donation center is open from 9 am - 3 pm, Monday through Saturday. Most volunteers start off working 3-4 hours, once per week.

All sales in the resale store will benefit Cypress Assistance Ministries. CAM is a 501c3 non-profit which provides assistance to the Cy-Fair community. We arrange survivor pick-ups in a safe public place, manage travel logistics to be easy for you, and we pay for all trip expenses.

We are looking for followers of Jesus who love soccer and are passionate about helping kids develop strong life skills and values. We provide free soccer practice at various local schools in Alief ISD Monday-Thursday 5:00-6:30pm. As a volunteer, you would be working with the head coach to follow the provided practice curriculum. The curriculum guides you through warm ups, soccer technique, drills, and activities. The unique thing about our program is that all of our soccer sessions are based around a Bible story and life value. We use soccer as a tool to instill valuable life lessons about character and personal development into the players. This is why we request that applicants be strongly committed to their Christian faith, because as a coach, you are also a role model. Help refugees take the first step toward U.S. citizenship by joining our team as a Civics Outreach Volunteer. 

In this role, you’ll make phone calls to clients to share information about our free civics classes, which help prepare adults for the citizenship exam. Your calls help ensure more people can access the resources they need to succeed. 

As a volunteer, you will: 

You don’t need to speak another language or have prior experience—just a welcoming attitude and a desire to support others on their citizenship journey. If you do speak a language like Spanish, Dari, Pashto, Arabic, or Urdu, that’s a wonderful bonus!

Cornerstone Family Resource Center (CFRC) is seeking community groups, businesses, churches, schools, and individuals to host a toiletry and cleaning supply drive to support low-income families living at Premier on Woodfair Apartments.

For many residents, everyday essentials like soap, detergent, toilet paper, and cleaning supplies are not covered by SNAP or other assistance programs. These items are often the first to be cut when families are choosing between rent, utilities, food, and medical needs. Your drive helps fill that critical gap and directly supports families’ health, dignity, and housing stability.

CFRC makes it easy to participate:
 - We provide collection boxes
 - We provide a ready-to-use flyer
 - We pick up all donations at the end of the drive

Suggested donation items include:
 - Soap, shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant
 - Toilet paper, paper towels
 - Laundry detergent, dish soap

Astella Hospice is seeking individuals to serve as compassionate friend, offering emotional support, companionship and a listening ear to patients during their final journey. In this role, the volunteer creates a comforting presence, whether by sharing stories, listening to memories, holding a hand or simply sitting quietly. It is not about providing medical care but about being a source of kindness, connection, and understanding, bringing moments of joy and peace to the patient and their loved ones. This meaningful bond will enrich the lives of the volunteer and the patient.

As an Application Advisor, you play a crucial role in helping our students submit outstanding job applications. Using the Application Feedback Form and the guidelines provided, you will review, proofread, and offer detailed suggestions to ensure each application meets the highest standards of professionalism. Volunteers will receive 1-3 applications per session to review, helping clients craft "pristine" applications that set them up for success in their job search.

This volunteer opportunity occurs three times a month, aligning with each JSA class cycle, and is conducted entirely electronically. Applications are sent out on Wednesdays, and reviewed submissions must be emailed back by 8:00 AM the following Wednesday. This one-week turnaround is vital as student training programs operate on a tight schedule. By contributing your time and expertise, you’ll directly impact the confidence and success of our clients as they take their next steps toward meaningful employment.

When: This is a virtual volunteer opportunity that takes place 3x a month from 12:30PM-2:00PM. Volunteers meet on Zoom as a group and then meet with 1-3 clients in a breakout room.
