Volunteer: Virtual Volunteer NeedsBest Practices for Volunteers During COVID-19 https://www.houstonresponds.org/c19serve
The following are best practices that volunteers can utilize while engaging and participating in community events during the Coronavirus pandemic. Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and warm water or use hand sanitizer that has at least 60% alcohol. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth, especially when out in public. Avoid contact with people who are sick and stay home if you are sick. Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe. Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue away. Stagger your volunteering shifts. Volunteers most at risk of contracting Covid-19 should not volunteer until further notice. Provide administrative or support functions for older volunteers who want to be part of the response.
