MUST BE A NON SMOKER.  Responsible for recruitment of task force members and processing membership agreements from the key sectors of Galveston County community members.  Must develop a strong familiarity of the Tobacco Task Force's logic model and functionality.  Responsible for the basic understanding of the Task Force organization structure.  BACODA's policies and procedures, and Task Force programmatic policies and procedures.  This is a volunteer position, not a paid position. Functions: Responsible for contacting key sector community members, for serving as a liaison between the Task Force staff and the community, to provide current and accurate information about the Task Force. Responsible for developing a rapport with potential members and groups, promotion of the Task Force in the community, for documentation of Task Force activities, and other duties assigned by the Volunteer Coordinator. This position ranges from a few hours a day to as many hours as you want to put into your day. You may at times be contacting physicians offices so you must be able to work during business hours that means Monday through Friday, anytime between the hours of 8:00 am through 5:00 pm.

Flexible commitment from a few hours a day to a few hours a week, once trained, some of these tasks can be done on the weekends. 

Have you been told that you have a calming effect on others especially on the phone?  A pleasant phone voice is needed to share agency information, services, and directions with participants and clients.  Provide assistance to Supervisor on special projects.  This is not a paid position.

This is a part time volunteer position in Angleton, Texas, with flexible hours.  Duties include but are not limited to data entry, assisting with presentations and activities, group management of young people, and assisting the Program Director with daily operations.  The candidate for this volunteer position must be over 21 years of age and a non-smoker.  A background check and a drug test are required for this position.

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 am through 5:00 pm and some weekends.

This position is good for someone who is great a networking with local businesses and restaurants to help provide donations such as supplies and food for special events. Must have proof of insurance and a valid drivers license.  This is not a paid position.

Currently, we are looking for a full or part-time grant writer with exceptional writing skills. In addition to writing and submitting grants, you will be responsible for searching for and identifying potential sources to fund our non-profit agency.

Classification: Fundraising, general assistance, grant writing.

Duration: Flexible commitment

Time Commitment: From a few hours a week to as many hours as you want to clock a day.

Responsibilities may include: Performing standard clerical and administrative functions and general office functions including typing, filing, copying, mailings, phone calls, and other tasks as assigned.

Need someone to work with the CEO on planning an event for fall 2024. This includes phone calls, organizing paperwork and databases, scheduling meetings, attending meetings, and assisting in the event plan.
