Volunteer: Bike MS: Texas MS 150As conditions are slowly improving we are excited to announce that the MS Society’s first in-person event will be a one-day version of our Bike MS: Texas MS 150 event which will be taking place on May 1st. If you are comfortable with it, we would love for your support as we start to transition back to in-person events. Historically, thousands of riders and hundreds of volunteers come together to make our Bike MS: Texas MS 150 event a possibility. While things will look very different this year, we are dedicated towards having a great event that makes a tremendous impact in our fight against MS. The event previously featured a route that started in downtown Houston and finished in downtown Austin. However, this year we are riding on a brand new route! We will have joint starts in both La Grange and Houston which will lead all riders to finish on Kyle Field in College Station! With the event only a few months away, we would love for your help potentially volunteering and in engaging the community as a whole. We will have a variety of volunteer opportunities at our Houston-area start locations and in the weeks leading up to the event. Responsibilities can include anything from site set-up to serving food to organizing the groups of our riders and shifts can be as short as four hours. This event would be a great opportunity to help us launch into our new normal of in-person events while helping those living with MS. If you or anyone you know would be interested in serving with us, feel free to explore our volunteer registration home page. You can use the tabs and/or links found on this page to navigate through the volunteer opportunities and find shift times, role descriptions, the number of volunteers needed, and our COVID-19 protocols.
