Great working environment ~ administrative support needed

We are seeking compassionate individuals willing to share their time and talents in support of the Association's mission. You'll be part of a team providing and enhancing care and support for all affected by Alzheimer's Disease. As a vital part of our team, your efforts will make a meaningful difference for those who need you most.

Administrative volunteers assist staff with office duties, data entry, filing and other day-to-day administrative tasks. 

Our building is situated on a park-like campus with easy access and plenty of parking. You'll work with friendly chapter employees who are dedicated to the vision of a world without Alzheimer’s.

Commitment to a regular weekly shift will be preferred. Most work will be during regular business hours and in the main office (near the intersection of I-610 and the Gulf Freeway).

Imagine a quiet office setting nestled in a garden just off 610 near Gulfgate Mall, open regular business hours. Are you available for a regular four to six hour shift per week serving as general office help and helping with data entry? If yes, we have a desk waiting for you.

Make it happen: become an Alzheimer's Association Community Representative!

Our community educators deliver programs using prepared training materials on topics related to Alzheimer’s disease, risk reduction strategies, as well as information for individuals and families impacted by the disease. Tell about our services and how people can make a difference in the trajectory of this terrible disease.

This role is ongoing and we ask for a year's commitment. Preference will be given to those available on weekdays.

The Association is seeking volunteer candidates with:

Demonstrated success with health education using excellent communication, presentation and adult education skills. Comfort with computers and familiarity with email and PowerPoint presentations. Ability to network, and collaborate with staff, volunteers, and community partners. Passionate about the Alzheimer’s Association mission, with personal or professional experience with dementia preferred. Must be age 21 to apply. Background checks are required.
