Transition and Employment Services helps students as they leave high school and enter secondary education or seek employment, and helps teens and adults search for and maintain employment. We offer pre-employment training, job search assistance, job coaching, and long-term follow-up. We also help persons navigate the educational and vocational rehab systems by assisting them in contacting the right persons within those systems. We need volunteers to help with transportation and mobility training, conducting practice job interviews, and providing feedback and advice for young job seekers.

RAMP is a career-focused program for youth with disabilities involved with or at-risk of becoming involved with the juvenile justice system. Volunteers will serve as support and mentors to the youth. Mentors are needed during and, once a relationship is established with youth, possibly after school if that works for both the youth and mentor. RAMP is under our High School High Tech Program, a community-based partnership of parents, educators, rehabilitation professionals and business representatives working together to encourage high school students with disabilities to explore the fields of science, engineering and technology through mentoring, job skills, transition and internships for at-risk teens with disabilities. Includes campus meetings, company tours and internships.

Mentors must be at least 21 years old. Meetings are held at a high school in downtown Houston every Monday from 1:45pm-2:30pm. Mentors are NOT required to be at every meeting but are encouraged to attend as often as their schedule allows. We also encourage checking in with mentees via email or texts.

Every youth is one caring adult away from becoming a success story. You can be that caring adult and make a difference. We hope to work with you soon as a mentor with the RAMP program.

Parents Night Out provides respite care on Fridays to families of teens and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders and similar disabilities. Volunteers provide the teens with one-on-one attention and assist with activities in two locations - Houston and Katy.

Easter Seals Greater Houston provides adults with disabilities with a safe environment to socialize, participate in activities and explore life-long personal growth.  Come join us for a Saturday of Bowling!  Volunteers are paired up with client and needed to assist with bowling. 

Location: AMC Windfern, 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each Month

Adult Services offers recreational opportunities to older adults/seniors and younger adults with disabilities through bi-weekly meetings, bowling, field trips, education, self-advocacy, skills training and touch based technology training. Participants do all kinds of activities including adapted self defense, yoga, and strength training, scrap-booking, volunteer projects, technology classes, and go on various trips around Houston. As a volunteer you would help clients participate in all of these activities and socialize with clients.

Location - The Adult Day Program meets Monday-Wednesdays at three Memorial Area locations
