This volunteer opportunity is designed to bring students together through friendly competition, teamwork, and social connection in a welcoming environment. Volunteers will help organize activities, facilitate games, encourage participation, and foster a positive atmosphere where every student feels included and supported.

**Volunteer Role: Games Day Host**

**Responsibilities:**

- Welcome and engage participants throughout the event.

- Set up and organize game stations and activity areas.

- Facilitate board games, team games, trivia, and interactive activities.

Best Buddies is seeking enthusiastic entrepreneurs, business professionals, and startup leaders to inspire students through engaging presentations and discussions about entrepreneurship. As an Entrepreneurship Speaker Volunteer, you will share your personal career journey, discuss the fundamentals of starting and running a business, and encourage students to explore their own interests, talents, and future career possibilities. This opportunity is designed to provide students with valuable real-world insights while building confidence, leadership skills, and an entrepreneurial mindset.

Join us in making a difference! We’re looking for enthusiastic and compassionate volunteers to help inspire neurodivergent students and individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities as they dive into the exciting world of digital creativity. Together, we’ll empower them to unleash their potential through interactive, hands-on experiences in design, video creation, coding, and much more. All the necessary equipment will be provided—just bring your passion and support! Let’s create something amazing together!

We are looking for volunteers to teach vital independent living skills at your Friday Adulting 101 workshops for adults with special needs and neurodivergence. These programs provide practical, coach-led training in managing finances, personal hygiene, career readiness, healthy routines, and social-emotional growth.  Host group-based instruction spanning everything from money management to career navigation,self-advocacy,  and social connections in the Greater Houston/Texas area.

What knowledge and experience can you share with our students? Lead a conversation or activity with our Best Buddies. Here are some ideas (but not limited to these topics): 

- Personal testimony overcoming challenges

- Entrepreneurship

- Computer and internet safety

- Budgeting

- Career exploration

Feel free to bring your own ideas as well!

Our Best Buddies enjoy special meals that are themed for holidays or just for fun! You can organize a luau, a Mexican fiesta, a traditional Southern BBQ, a pizza party, or even include music and dessert. Your group can create the entire dining experience for our guests. Choose the specific meal you would like to serve for breakfast or lunch. Plan, purchase the food, prepare, and serve the meal. Enjoy this delicious experience with our Best Buddies!

**Volunteer Opportunity: Snack Support for Best Buddies College Students**

Help Us Keep Our Students Fueled and Supported!

We are seeking volunteers to provide snacks for our Best Buddies college students throughout the semester. Your support creates a welcoming environment where students can connect, build friendships, and feel encouraged during meetings and activities.

Volunteers will have a wonderful time visiting with Best Buddies students while providing and serving snacks.

**What We Need:**
We encourage donations of the following snack items:

- Granola bars
- Chips or pretzels
- Popcorn
- Fruit snacks
- Cookies or crackers
- Bottled water
- Juice boxes or canned drinks
- Fresh fruit
- Trail mix
- Individually wrapped treats

Please avoid items containing common allergens, especially peanuts, whenever possible. Every contribution makes a difference!

Make it a special day with Notes of Encouragement! We all love cards & special greetings. However, many students in Best Buddies usually do not receive positive & uplifting mail. Your notes will be given to the students at our events to bless, uplift & raise their self-esteem.
