Help us make this Halloween extra special for the families we serve! We're collecting:

- Wrapped candy

- Festive bags/buckets & real pumpkins

- New or gently used costumes

- Halloween crafts (stickers, fidgets, etc.)

Thank you for helping us bring joy to our Cursed Kingdom: A Renaissance Halloween! 

We’re gearing up for our Cursed Kingdom: A Renaissance Halloween event and need awesome volunteers to help make it a hit! This event will take place on Oct. 27th for 5:30pm - 8:30pm. We ask all volunteers to report at least by 4:30pm.

Here’s where you can jump in:

Setting up and breaking down the event

Running fun activities and crafts with the kids

Participating in our Trunk or Treat

Costumes are totally encouraged but not required! If you want to be part of the fun, sign up now and we will reach back out to you with more information

Are you passionate about working with children and teens? Looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community? Join our Youth Center team every Thursday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and help create a safe, engaging, and supportive space for young people.

As a Youth Center Volunteer, you’ll play a hands-on role in making each child's experience positive, uplifting, and fun. Whether you’re helping with homework, leading arts and crafts, or simply being a kind and supportive presence, your time and energy will make a lasting difference.

Volunteer Duties Include:

Supervising and interacting with children and teens in a safe, respectful environment

Leading and participating in activities like storytelling, imaginative play, arts and crafts, indoor/outdoor games

Assisting with homework, snack preparation, and serving

Greeting families and helping monitor the entry area

Supporting staff at the reception desk when the playroom is empty

Monitoring the Teen Room and helping maintain a positive atmosphere

Enforcing Youth Center rules with kindness and consistency

Helping with basic paperwork (training provided)

Cleaning and tidying up the Youth Center after use

We're Looking for Volunteers Who:

Enjoy working with children and teens

Are patient, reliable, and compassionate

Can communicate clearly and kindly with staff, youth, and families

Are able to work independently and as part of a team

Are physically able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand, and bend as needed

Are willing to complete required orientation and background checks (provided at no cost)

Training Provided:

Agency orientation

OAG training

Trauma-informed care training (if needed)

Position Overview:
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and tech-savvy volunteer to help manage our online sales platforms. As an E-Sales Volunteer, you’ll assist in listing donated items for sale, responding to buyer inquiries, and helping raise funds to support survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.

Key Responsibilities:

Photograph, describe, and list items on platforms like eBay, Facebook Marketplace, or similar

Monitor listings, respond to customer questions, and process sales

Package items for shipping (if applicable)

Track inventory and maintain accurate records

Ideal Candidate:

Familiar with online selling platforms or willing to learn

Organized and reliable with good attention to detail

Comfortable using a computer or smartphone

Passionate about supporting a meaningful cause

Your time and skills can directly help fund life-changing services for survivors in need.

We’re hosting a community food drive to support the individuals and families in our care — survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault who are working toward safe, independent lives.

We’re collecting non-perishable food items, and all donations will go directly to the people we serve. If you’d like to contribute, please drop off your donations at our main office:

Fort Bend Women’s Center is seeking a volunteer cosmetologist to provide basic beauty and personal care services to our clients.

Qualifications:

Licensed or trained in cosmetology, hair care, skincare, or related services

Comfortable providing services such as haircuts, styling, skincare, or basic grooming

Friendly, compassionate, and respectful of diverse backgrounds

Excellent interpersonal skills with a compassionate and respectful approach

Previous experience in a salon or service setting is a plus, but not required

We’re looking for someone who wants to use their skills to help others feel seen, cared for, and confident. Your time and talent can make a meaningful difference in the lives of survivors working toward healing and self-sufficiency.

Fort Bend Women’s Center is seeking a volunteer to assist with leading lighthearted group games like Bingo, UNO, and other social activities for our clients

Qualifications:

Enjoys social games and interacting with others in a positive, supportive way

Able to explain basic game rules clearly and keep activities running smoothly

Encouraging, patient, and comfortable working with small groups

Friendly demeanor and respectful of diverse backgrounds and experiences

No professional experience needed—just a love for games and bringing joy to others!
