Volunteer: Volunteer Opportunity: Youth Center Volunteer (Thursdays, 2–6 PM)Are you passionate about working with children and teens? Looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community? Join our Youth Center team every Thursday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and help create a safe, engaging, and supportive space for young people. As a Youth Center Volunteer, you’ll play a hands-on role in making each child's experience positive, uplifting, and fun. Whether you’re helping with homework, leading arts and crafts, or simply being a kind and supportive presence, your time and energy will make a lasting difference. Volunteer Duties Include: Supervising and interacting with children and teens in a safe, respectful environment Leading and participating in activities like storytelling, imaginative play, arts and crafts, indoor/outdoor games Assisting with homework, snack preparation, and serving Greeting families and helping monitor the entry area Supporting staff at the reception desk when the playroom is empty Monitoring the Teen Room and helping maintain a positive atmosphere Enforcing Youth Center rules with kindness and consistency Helping with basic paperwork (training provided) Cleaning and tidying up the Youth Center after use We're Looking for Volunteers Who: Enjoy working with children and teens Are patient, reliable, and compassionate Can communicate clearly and kindly with staff, youth, and families Are able to work independently and as part of a team Are physically able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand, and bend as needed Are willing to complete required orientation and background checks (provided at no cost) Training Provided: Agency orientation OAG training Trauma-informed care training (if needed) Our Core Values: Ready to make a difference?
