Needs From: Volunteer Houston

We distribute food every Tuesday morning for our senior clients.  Help is needed to gather the food and deliver to their cars.  The volunteer shift is from 10am-1pm on Tuesdays, and we ask for a commitment to volunteer 2-4 times per month.  There is typically no heavy lifting, just putting items into a grocery cart and taking it to the clients' cars.  Please join us!

Mesa-Outreach receives donations of packaged frozen meat that needs to be sorted and put in bags to hand to families.  This volunteer will not be handling the raw meat itself, it will remain in packages.  We need someone who will commit to a weekly schedule, so that they can be trained to work with our pantry manager.  Spanish speaking or bilingual volunteer preferred but not required.  Wednesdays from 10-12.

Help Mesa Outreach retrieve donations from local grocery stores.  We need help on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, 9am until complete, usually around 11 am.  You can volunteer as many days as you prefer, even a once-a-month commitment will help.  Volunteers need to be able to lift 50 pounds (most boxes are less) and have a truck or large suv.  Stores are 2-12 miles away. 

This food helps us feed our client families each month and is a vital part in making our mission work for our community.
