Volunteer: AccessHealth Spring Volunteer NeedsAccessHealth volunteer services is dedicated to managing the recruitment, placement, and retention of volunteers and to promote community understanding of its needs and services. AccessHealth volunteer services is established to supplement the services of and extend the best possible to our patients, their families, and visitors. To provide community service by providing opportunities for community youth and adults. To develop cultural diversity within Volunteer Services Program. To foster and promote health literacy to improve the quality of life within Fort Bend and Waller County communities. To foster and promote interest in health care careers, both medical and paramedical, in the youth of community high school and colleges. There are three volunteer positions that we need assistance with so we can better assist our patients in the community. Patient Educator: Following patient appointments, volunteers will educate patients how to use digital technology to access their Electronic Health Records/data via Patient Portal. Volunteers are positioned within our clinics doing direct patient communication. Bilingual speakers are preferred for this role. Hospitality/Greeter: Volunteers will greet, guide, and give assistance to patients, visitors, and staff in the units throughout the clinic. Volunteers may assist rounding patients' rooms, magazines, and other items (hygiene products like hand sanitizers). Volunteers are positioned throughout different areas of the clinic. Patient Liaison: Volunteers are positioned at the clinic front desk to assist patient service; Bilingual speakers are needed in this role.
