We are looking for a reception that is able to answer the phones and direct calls to their various departments. This position is available Monday-Friday and we just ask that you committed to one shift per week. We are looking for someone who is organized and self sufficient in which they pay great attention to details. You must be at least 18 years or older for this position.

Helping clients apply for assistance services such as food, rent, and utilities.

Assisting Clients with finding job leads, helping them with cover letters and resumes.  Mondays.

We need someone with administrative skills such as filing, copying, and other administrative tasks.  Also, must have computer skills including Excel.  Tasks in Excel include creating spreadsheets,  entering data into spreadsheet. Attention to details.  Need one volunteer once a week.  Shift would be any day between Monday and Friday.  Shift can be morning for afternoon for 3 hours. Thank you.  Additional shifts available.

Volunteers will help with sorting, helping with incoming donations (unloading cars), restocking shelves, packing food boxes, cleaning, and making sure that the pantry if ready for distribution on the following day (filling goody bags, toiletry bags, etc).

CAM needs help in our resale store Angel's Attic. Floor workers help keep our store neat and help customers with their with any questions or issues they may have. They will go around the store and tidy the clothing racks and put back unpurchased items left out by customers.

You will:

CAM needs volunteers in our Food Pantry. You will help sort, process, and pack incoming donations, assist clients, as well as clean and organize the pantry. Must be able to lift 25lb. 

Cypress Assistance Ministries needs volunteers to help sort through donated items and prepare them for sale in our resale store. Items are donated by members of the public, who drop them off at our facility's donation center. That is when we need volunteers to help sort through and prepare donations to be sold in our resale store. Volunteers will be trained on proper procedure on how to prepare items, including pricing procedures. 

Volunteers are needed in various departments, including housewares, toys, wall art, and children's items.

Items will be assessed for condition, with unsalable items being recycled. When there is a need in the store, volunteers will select appropriate items from the sorted piles to hang and display within the store. Exceptional items will be put aside to be priced individually.

We need detail-oriented people who can look at items carefully to determine their quality, with some basic familiarity with brands and labels.

You will test donated electronics to ensure they are in working condition to sell in our resale shop, Angel's Attic.

CAM's Donation Center needs volunteers to clean and sort toys. If you have an eye for detail, and prefer a sedentary role, this may be a good option for you. 

You will sort and fold linens in preparation for resale in our store, Angel's Attic. This is a great opportunity for you are detail oriented and organized!

Need volunteers to sort, clean, and stock wall art and frames for resale in our store. If you have an appreciation for art, this may be the ideal opportunity for you!

Cypress Assistance Ministries is in need of a GED teacher to teach both intermediate math (fractions and decimals) and social studies.

Classes are online and provided from 6:30pm - 8:45pm on Mondays and Wednesday. Math is from 6:30pm -7:30pm and Social Studies is from 7:45pm - 8:45pm.

Teachers do not need to be certified.

Curriculum assistance and planning will be provided.

Anyone interested in this volunteering opportunity will be asked to attend a new volunteer tour and fill out a volunteering application.

Volunteers will need to be 16 years of age or older.

Cypress Assistance Ministries need volunteers to help pick-up donated food items from local retail establishments once a week. The food will be used in our food bank. These donations help reduce food waste and helps feed families in need in our community.

Volunteers must have access to a vehicle suitable for transporting food items (an SUV or minivan would work perfectly, a sedan with sufficient trunk space would work as well).

We need drivers for Wednesdays and Fridays. You can choose to work one day or both days. Pick-ups occur weekly.

CAM is looking for a volunteer to help teach English as a Second Language.

- You must be proficient in using Google and ZOOM, and have your own computer.

- You do NOT have to be a certified teacher.

- Bilingual Spanish speakers are preferred.

- You must be available Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 pm - 8:45 pm CST. We provide course observation, a curriculum, and training before starting.

Cypress Assistance Ministries (CAM) is partnering with some area grocery stores to help provide food for our food pantry. We just need some helpful individuals to pick up the donations from these retailers and help deliver them to CAM's facility.

Programs like this are wonderful resources for CAM, as they help us source items that would be otherwise difficult to source (such as bakery items and produce), and they help reduce food waste in our community.

Volunteers must have access to a vehicle suitable for transporting food items (an SUV or minivan would work perfectly, a sedan with sufficient trunk space would work as well). We will provide insulated bags.

We need weekly drivers for Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. You may choose to volunteer for one, two, or all three of these pick-ups.
