Our campus library, used by the students for research and required reading, is moving to a new room. The room needs construction work of various types. This need is for a carpenter to frame and install two doors from the library into the hallway.

Our campus library, used by the students for research and required reading, is moving to a new room. The room needs construction work of various types. This need is to spray paint 8 metal bookcases. Each are approximately 7'x4'x1'.

Looking for a patient and supportive volunteer to help our after-school students with challenges with foundational skills such as phonemic awareness and reading comprehension. Students are K-5. Each class session will be one-to-one.

Help a child who is reading below grade level. Volunteers needed to work with elementary-age children in northern Spring Branch once or twice a week. Work with small groups (2-4 students) for an hour once a week.  Simple lesson and materials provided for you.

Volunteers would need to commit to only once-a-week visits with their group of children for at least one semester. One hour training provided before you start as well as a background check. Program has proven results in improving student reading levels.  

Available times are (choose one day): 

5 - 6pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday at our Campbell Campus (3911 Campbell Rd) or Pitner Campus (8526 Pitner Rd)

Join us at Paul Revere Middle School to help grow, maintain, and harvest fresh vegetables from our thriving community garden. Located right on campus, this garden provides nutritious produce to supplement food distributed to families through a bi-monthly food distribution program. No gardening experience is required—just a willing heart and a pair of helping hands! This opportunity is flexible, with both weekday and weekend times available. All are welcome to be part of this life-giving project that strengthens our community.

We need your help to keep great books accessible to communities 24/7. Visit Little Free Libraries in your community to distribute books! 

We can suggest where to look for free or inexpensive books, or if you already have some, you can share those too. You can find book-sharing boxes near you using our world map or free mobile app.

Purpose: By keeping Little Free Libraries full of books, you are helping to build community, inspire readers, and expand book access. 

Responsibilities:

Time required: You set your own schedule. It could be a one-time project or a regular book distribution schedule.

How we can support you: We'll help you start with some online training, and we will suggest sources for books.

Benefits: Experience the satisfaction of getting more books into the hands of readers while connecting with your community. Volunteers in the US will get a free Little Free Library t-shirt after you record your first impact in the Team LFL hub.

Do you have a heart for supporting children and families during their hospital journey?

As a Grace Companion, you’ll provide invaluable support to pediatric patients on the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit (BMTU) floor at Texas Children’s Hospital. Each Tuesday and Thursday, we welcome 2-4 volunteers to serve by:

*Delivering meals to nourish both patients and their families
*Sharing comfort baskets to lift spirits and offer much-needed resources
*Engaging children in enrichment activities that bring joy and distraction during challenging times

Commitment Requirements:
Volunteers must commit to serving at least 1-2 times per month.
Shifts are available every Tuesday and Thursday.

Requirements:
Ability to pass a detailed background check
Up-to-date vaccination records

Help us celebrate children in low-income families around the greater Houston Area by having a Party Hat Drive in support of us.

Please ask your family, friends, and neighbors to donate unopened packs of Party Hats. All items donated will be added to the Birthday Boxes that we give out every month to celebrate children around the city.
