Volunteer: Next Step of Hope MentorA major component of our ministry is the Next Step of Hope mentoring program. The purpose of the program is to provide formerly homeless individuals who have made steps towards recovery with a team of mentors who can encourage and teach them to live successful lives. We are currently seeking to recruit individuals who may desire to serve as mentors.
There are just a few quick things I want to point out about the mentorship program:
1. It is flexible to your schedule: As a mentor you would coordinate your meeting times with your client according to your own personal schedule. If you can’t always meet in person, it is fine to also meet over the phone. 2. You will be part of a team: We want each client to have a team of three mentors. This lightens the weight of responsibility on each mentor and leaves a support system in place for the client when you are unavailable (When you out of town for instance). 3. You don’t have to be a professional: We’re not looking for professional counselors, just people who are willing to be a friend and share what they know. Agency: H.O.P.E.
