If you're compassionate, fluent in English, and can volunteer for 4 hours per week, we want YOU to help a small group of Houston adults learn to speak English. You'll meet some amazing people, experience the joy and fulfillment of helping others succeed, and know that you're making Houston a better place for all of us! Classes will meet either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday.

NO prior teaching experience or second language is required. Some of our ESL classes are continuing to meet remotely. If this volunteer opportunity is for you, we'll train you (remotely, two 2-hour sessions, free), match you with a small group of adult learners and support you as you get started on the exciting and hugely rewarding activity of helping your neighbors learn English as a second (or third!) language (ESL)

And, while it’s currently possible to volunteer from anywhere, we really value connecting learners and volunteers within the Greater Houston area. Something special happens when we’re all working together to benefit the (same) greater community.

The Down Syndrome Association of Houston has a soccer program which meets weekly. We need volunteers to help teach basic skills and to make sure the coaching sessions are fun and fulfilling.

The HMC is proud to be home to soccer programs for our refugee youth. The Eagles (boys) and The Golden Eagles (girls).

The teams meet and play on the first and third Saturdays of each month, at the IndoorSoccerBox, located at 1530 W Sam Houston Pkwy N. Beginning in November, we'll be meeting at Burnett Bayland Park in Southwest Houston.

We are looking for someone with soccer experience to serve as a referee and informal coach to help facilitate 1 hour of girls soccer. It is a very casual league, the girls would benefit from the experience of someone 18+.

MENtorUP is a Saturday mentoring program designed to connect middle and high school young men with positive male role models who can guide, encourage, and inspire them.

We are looking for followers of Jesus who love soccer and are passionate about helping kids develop strong life skills and values. We provide free soccer practice at various local schools in Alief ISD Monday-Thursday 5:00-6:30pm. As a volunteer, you would be working with the head coach to follow the provided practice curriculum. The curriculum guides you through warm ups, soccer technique, drills, and activities. The unique thing about our program is that all of our soccer sessions are based around a Bible story and life value. We use soccer as a tool to instill valuable life lessons about character and personal development into the players. This is why we request that applicants be strongly committed to their Christian faith, because as a coach, you are also a role model. Alzheimer's Association Support Group facilitators create a safe, open environment where people share their feelings, thoughts and experiences in a combined effort to better cope with and manage the shared problems of dementia. This support group will be meeting virtually for the time being.

UAHT has launched a virtual Men’s Accountability Discussion Group to end the demand for sex trafficking and is looking for male participants. The group will use the Stopping Sexual Exploitation: A Program For Men (SSE) curriculum, a non-judgmental program based on principles of social justice and personal transformation. The curriculum -- and discussion group -- explore several topics like the harms of sexual exploitation, power and violence and is open to all men.

UAHT is looking for a total of 12 men to virtually participate in two separate groups -- 6 men per group -- for 10 weeks.

One group will start Tuesday, May 4, and the second group will begin Thursday, June 3. The time commitment will be evenings from 6 to 9 p.m.

In 2020, United Against Human Trafficking took its fight against sex and labor trafficking virtual, and now we have an amazing library of anti-trafficking materials that begs for the wider audience that captioning provides.

We're seeking volunteers to caption our Outreach and Education videos in English, and at least one volunteer to handle our videos in Spanish. Most of the heavy work will be done by a captioning app, but volunteers with keen ears and an high-level attention to detail will make sure the captions are as accurate as possible.

If you have experience transcribing audio recordings or video editing -- or if you're someone who just knows they're capable of doing the job well -- this may be perfect for you! 

Become part of our completely volunteer-based outreach in high human-trafficking areas! This outreach is crucial to reaching trafficking victims and sharing the Human Trafficking National Hotline in places away from their captors or employers.

Key Responsibilities include:

-- Speaking to businesses on behalf of UAHT and victims on Saturdays as your schedule permits.

-- Displaying the National Human Trafficking Hotline number in restrooms, back offices, kitchens, and storefronts -- places away from victims' captors and/or employers.

-- Entering data after each outreach activity is completed.

All volunteers who want to become part of the Volunteer Outreach Team must complete the orientation and training. (This is separate from the Volunteer Orientation that every volunteer must attend.)

Volunteer Outreach Orientation will cover the key duties, processes, script, impact, and time commitment needed to confidently speak to businesses on behalf of UAHT and trafficking victims.

If weather permits, orientation and training will take place outdoors in a park setting, and when weather doesn't permit, we'll meet in an accommodating coffee shop.

After the Orientation and Training presentation, we will drive to nearby businesses, and each participant will get to train with an experienced volunteer who will share their knowledge of the process.

Human trafficking occurs every day in our own communities. This crime continues to grow in the shadows of our society, and is one of the largest criminal industries in the world.

Victims of trafficking are subjected to force, fraud, or coercion for the purposes of sexual exploitation and/or forced labor.

Participants in Red Sand Projects fill cracks in sidewalks with red sand, a symbolic gesture that represents those individuals who fall through the cracks -- whether the cracks of our social, economic, and political systems or those of our personal consciousness.

We at UAHT want to highlight and remember the human trafficking victims who fall through those cracks in the greater Houston area, the very ones we make an effort each day to reach and help.

Our Red Sand Projects are meant to be volunteer-led and community-wide events, so if you'd like to host a project of your own -- whether it's in your neighborhood, your favorite park, your church, or an other public setting you'd like -- we strongly encourage you to do so!

Engaging in art offers a creative process to explore emotions, gain personal insight, and even achieve healing in ways not always possible otherwise, and because of this, we at UAHT are over-the-moon thrilled to offer a series of art classes to the trafficking overcomers!

The six-course, bi-weekly program -- called "The Art of Life" -- will cover a range of artistic expressions -- from collages to intuitive art to self-portraits -- and we are in need of supplies to ensure our participants have all the tools they need to let their creativity flow freely.

We are building an AI-powered CRM that integrates with open source VOIP system. Twilio or Asterik can be used for API integration for VOIP part of application. Machine Learning will also be integrated to "teach" the system how to follow up with a company's customers or end-users.

1. Call comes in and CSR answers 2. Call is recorded and transcribed using an AI tool like JOG.AI (the whole conversation will be transcribed in company’s CRM) 3. AI determines important areas of customer calls based on Keywords that the Customer says like "Sign Up" or "I am frustrated" or "I would like to cancel my service" 4. Based on the keywords stated by Customer, the company’s platform will generate a suggested plan of action along with a template to respond via Email or SMS Examples include: If (customer says "Sign Up") then (AI will suggest emailing "Sign Up" form template) --this will ensure management that the appropriate customers looking to Sign Up for a service receive the appropriate follow up and should increase overall sales and reduce lost leads If (customer says "I would like to cancel my service" or "I want a refund" or "I’m really unhappy/not happy with the service I received") then (AI will suggest emailing or sending an SMS for a free month of service to try to keep customer) Company CRM platform will automatically add the Customer’s name and voice transcription into a Record. A home visitor is a volunteer who assists a blind adult with grocery shopping, mail reading, letter writing, bill paying and/or running errands.

Expected to be the voice and face of the Executive Service Corps of Houston (ESCH). Reports directly to the Board of Trustees. Leads all activities of ESCH and office administration. Most ESCH activity is done by volunteer consultants working with nonprofit clients.

Responsibilities: Coordinate ESCH fundraising activities.

Revival Sport (revivalsport.org) serves the refugee and immigrant communities of Houston, TX. We are looking for a few tutors to assist us in providing academic support to students who are struggling.

We specifically need tutors for:

-high school classes like Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, and Chemistry

-All grades English

If you are skilled in this subject matter and passionate about empowering local youth, please reach out to us! Tutoring would be one evening per week, or every other week depending on availability.

Provide support to team responsible for fund development for Connect Fort Bend. The duties include researching funding opportunities, maintaining data for potential and awarded projects, assisting with proposal submission, and assisting with planning agency events.

The Community Garden Marketing volunteer will focus on developing and supporting marketing activities for the Lettuce Live Community Garden. The volunteer will create content and manage social media channels to engage and grow our volunteers and supporters.

Help Us Bring Holiday Joy to Local Children

HUGGS Inc. and the Built To Win Foundation are gearing up for our Annual Christmas Toy Drive on December 20th, 2025, and we are officially calling for volunteers to help make this year’s event our biggest impact yet.

Every year, hundreds of families across Fort Bend and the Houston region struggle during the holidays. This Toy Drive allows us to place brand-new toys directly into the hands of children who would otherwise go without.

Warm meals will be provided!

Help Mesa Outreach retrieve donations from local grocery stores.  We need help on Mondays and Thursdays, 9am until complete, usually around 11 am.  You can volunteer as many days as you prefer, even a once-a-month commitment will help.  Volunteers need to be able to lift 50 pounds and have a truck or large SUV.  This food helps us feed our client families each month and is a vital part in making our mission work for our community.  

Help needed to prepare and distribute food to families.  Duties would be to organize the donations to go out and assist the runners in filling the carts for the families.  Help needed from 3-7pm.

Bilingual help is needed in our pantry to assist the manager with providing items for our volunteers who take the food to the families' cars.  Every Thursday from 3-7pm.

Emergency Services provides food and clothing as well as financial assistance to those in crisis. Volunteers are needed to help greet clients, answer phone inquiries, interview clients, help in the food pantry, or provide administrative assistance. We especially need bilingual (Spanish / English) volunteers.

Families to Freedom transports victims of abuse to a safe place far away. We need volunteers like YOU!

Assist victims fleeing from their abusers by driving them to safety! We ONLY allow our volunteers to pick-up survivors in a safe public place, usually in Houston. Volunteer safety is our #1 priority.

You choose the distance you're willing to travel - whether across town or across the country - and Families to Freedom handles the rest.

We get calls for service every day from survivors trying to start a new life, but without volunteer drivers we can only honor a few. 

Time Commitment: You decide! It could be a few hours, or up to a few days. It all depends on the trip length and what you are up for.

Requirements: Must be 21+, have a smartphone, pass a background check, and a heart to help.

Help is needed each week process applications for new clients each Wednesday.  Shifts are available from 10am-12pm and 12pm-2pm.  Work is indoors, seated.  Registration involves entering application data into computer program and speaking with the clients about their needs.  Come help us each week as we assist families needing food assistance in the NW Houston area.  Volunteer once a month or more.

We distribute food every Tuesday morning and Thursday morning/afternoon for senior clients.  Help is needed to gather the food and deliver to their cars.  You can volunteer for shifts from 10am-12pm on Tuesdays or 10am-12pm and 12pm-2pm on Thursdays.  We are in particular need for volunteers on Tuesdays.  We ask for a commitment to volunteer 2-4 times per month.  There is typically no heavy lifting, just putting items into a grocery cart and taking it to the clients' cars.  Please join us!

Join us to provide bilingual help to check in families to receive food.  Food distribution takes place on Thursday evenings between 4:30pm and 7:00pm.  You may volunteer weekly or 1-2 times per month, however an ongoing monthly commitment is requested.

The Connect YMCA is looking for volunteers to help coach middle school youth volleyball. Many of the children enrolled in our sports program need a dedicated leader to show them proper techniques and sportsmanship.
