A Great and Wonderful opportunity to volunteer and assist Young Society of Houston Community Outreach Organization and other local organizations from the Great City of Houston and surrounding areas at the upcoming 2026 Martin Luther King Jr Unity Parade. The parade will be on Monday, January 19, 2026 and Volunteers are needed!

High school  and college students are welcome to earn volunteer credit hours for this great volunteer opportunity. Please Note: if you are under the age of 16 , a parent or guardian must be present during this important volunteer opportunity.  

Once registration has been processed, a MLK Unity Parade Waiver Form will be provided.

The Woods Project needs help restocking first aid kits along with other summer kits for the upcoming program year! This work is extremely important and helps us to ensure the safety and health of our students and volunteers while they are out in the wilderness. If you are available to donate your time, it will be greatly appreciated!

Wear comfortable clothing and bring a refillable water bottle. Breakfast items, juice, and coffee will be provided.

Our meeting will be on the third floor of The American Red Cross building (2700 Southwest Freeway) BEHIND the main building, connected to the parking garage. Please drive to the right side of the building and enter through the gate. Once inside the gate, drive to the top of the parking deck and enter the building on the third floor.
