Volunteer Opportunity: Financial Literacy Instructor

Are you passionate about helping others gain control of their finances and build a brighter future? We’re looking for a dedicated volunteer financial literacy teacher to lead engaging, beginner-friendly classes for adult learners. As a volunteer instructor, you’ll help students understand the fundamentals of personal finance—including budgeting, saving, credit, and money management—while empowering them to make informed financial decisions.

Responsibilities: Teach basic financial literacy concepts in an accessible, supportive way.   Develop or adapt lesson materials to meet the needs of adult learners. Encourage discussion and real-world application of financial skills. Inspire confidence and promote lifelong learning.

Qualifications: Background or experience in finance, accounting, education, or a related field (preferred).   Strong communication and teaching skills,   Patience, and enthusiasm for working with diverse adult learners.

Time Commitment: Flexible schedule—classes may be offered weekly or biweekly, depending on volunteer availability. If you’re ready to make a meaningful difference by helping others achieve financial independence, we’d love to hear from you!

Fort Bend Hope just started its After School Mentoring Program again this year!

We are in need of Volunteers who are eager to spend time with children by mentoring them.

Volunteers duties will be

* Help kids with their Homework

* Read with the kids

* Perform a variety of Arts & Crafts activities with them

Choose your days once, twice or all four days a week from Monday - Thursday from 3 to 5 PM.

Background Check is required!

Fort Bend Hope is in need of volunteers who are eager to provide care to children while their parents are in class learning English!

Choose your days from Monday- Thursday from 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM

The children are mostly independent and you can perform a variety of activities with them from Reading to Painting together.

* Make sure Students, and Volunteers get sign-in/sign-out into our system

Be part of a journey by mentoring a child! Our Program entails helping a student with Homework or/and helping them improve their reading skills! We are in need of volunteers whether you want to volunteer once or twice a week.

Would you like to give back to your community? 

Become a mentor at Fort Bend Hope and help kids from grades 1st-5th with homework and reading. There is no experience necessary, just your desired to work with children.

Help us monitor children while they are in their online classes! Choose your own days and from two shifts.

We are in need of volunteers to help kids from grades 1st to 6th with their homework assignments from 3pm-4pm and clubs from 4pm-5pm.  The clubs include: Art, Crafts, Robotics, Science, Music, Cooking, and Chess.  If you enjoy being with kids and helping them learn a new skill, this is the place for you!

Looking for a patient and supportive volunteer to help our after-school students with challenges with foundational skills such as phonemic awareness and reading comprehension. Students are K-5. Each class session will be one-to-one.
