Volunteer: Virtual Elementary Literacy Volunteer (help improve reading levels one student at at time)Help a child who is reading below grade level. Volunteers needed to work with elementary-age children once or twice a week on Zoom. Program moderator creates virtual breakout rooms. Volunteers work with small groups (2-4 students) from 4:30 to 5:30 one day a week. Simple lesson and materials provided for you. Groups meet twice a week on Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday. Volunteers would need to commit to only once a week visits with their group of children for at least one semester. One hour training provided before you start as well as a background check.
