Needs From: Volunteer Houston

This role would include a myriad of intensive training, background checks, and team support. In this role, a volunteer would provide compassionate support and education in regard to pregnancy and parenting. 

These volunteers will provide spiritual support to our clients who consent to this service. This support will include prayer, sharing of Bible verse, Bible study, and discipleship. Must be compassionate, able to listen well, support the client in a spiritual manner, very familiar with the Bible, comfortable praying for anyone under any circumstance, able to be flexible. Training required for the facility and for the spiritual piece. One-year commitment requested. 

This is a position that can include providing education classes and support to improve the pregnancy and/or parenting situation. This can also include providing support to improve the pregnancy situation through options counseling, resources, and support at the initial stages of a positive pregnancy result. Both positions provide education, support, and encouragement for the clients. In addition, there is training and team support for the volunteer which will equip them as they provide services to the clients. 

This position will be part of our thrift shop. Here the volunteer will provide support in receiving of inventory, sorting, tagging, hanging, merchandising, and displaying inventory. Additional opportunities available for customer service and daily operational activities.
