Requirements: We ask that volunteers be 18 years or older and have basic English proficiency and comprehension skills. Volunteers will need to have a strong desire to improve the English language skills of students along with have a sensitivity to cultural difference. Having great patience, understanding, flexibility, and a positive attitude is key! * Previous volunteering and teaching background would be extremely beneficial* Club Sessions: The club will take place 1-2 times a week for 10 weeks with each meeting lasting 1 hour. We will begin in July. The dates and times of the meetings will be determined after we put together a group of volunteers. KEY FUNCTIONS
Portfolio management/expansion Engage in qualification, strategy and relationship building with national foundations and corporate foundation entities, with a view toward sustained transformational giving over time. The individual's portfolio will be a mix of larger-capacity grant-making foundations and corporate foundations whose mission and strategic giving aligns with Harvey Nexus Strategy and activities.
The size and mix of the portfolio will be based on the needs of the team and the division's strategic focus over the period of the campaign.
Steward relationships with current and proposed institutional partners, guided by regular portfolio review and team-driven strategy for continued giving.
Participate and strategically outline activities, proposal preparation, strategy development and solicitation executed within a 12 - 24 month timeframe.

Girls are looking for meaningful ways to connect now more than ever, and that’s where our volunteers come in! For girls in grades 3-12, we want to include an inspiring element of connection in our We Are Girls On The Road swag bags – Affirmation Bookmarks. So what are Affirmation Bookmarks? These bookmarks written by Girls Empowerment Network volunteers aim to inspire, encourage, and uplift girls throughout our community. Affirmation Bookmarks provide volunteers with a unique way of supporting and celebrating girls. Be sure to check out our Volunteer FAQs. This document is full of tips, guidelines, and example Affirmation Bookmarks! What should be included in my bookmarks? The bookmarks should have 8.5 inches x 2.75 inches in dimension. Collaborate with other YDM teams, especially Marketing and Outreach, to keep content up-to-date, attractive, and aligned with YDM's mission and values within the WordPress platform. Implement regular updates, security measures, and backups to maintain the integrity and safety of the WordPress website. Utilize WordPress plugins and tools to enhance the site's features and performance, making recommendations for additional tools as needed. Analyze website traffic and user engagement to suggest and make improvements, working closely with the Marketing team to align website strategies with overall organizational goals. Assist other YDM team members in understanding and utilizing the WordPress website for various needs, providing training and support as necessary. If needed, work with external contractors or agencies for specialized WordPress web development tasks, acting as a liaison to ensure alignment with YDM's goals and quality standards.
