HELLO The Woodlands, Houston, Sugarland, San Antonio, Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth! Any Texan who wants to help us put on a great event this coming March.
We are planning a NATIONWIDE Kick-Off the first week of March 2021 - which is Bone Marrow Failure Week. You will meet teams from New York, California, Wisconsin, Michigan and other places that come together to remember their special patients who have passed away from rare bone marrow failure diseases, celebrate those who are still with us, educate our state about these diseases, and of course, to raise funds for our Foundation, the Aplastic Anemia & MDS International Foundation.
The week for our event in Texas is tentatively March 27 through April 3! March for Marrow Texas will open with a Moment of Remembrance and include a Virtual 5K Run, Patient and Family Walk, and a Raffle. We will feature videos from our Teams, our patients and/or their Family Members. Join our planning meetings to make this a real Texas-sized Virtual Event!
Volunteer Opportunities will include lots of Social Media work, talking to your friends to form teams, recruiting a few music groups to fill in the gaps, getting schools to sign up to run or walk with us at reduced rates, and promoting our Raffle - among other things we haven't come up with yet.
