As a modern nation state with limited natural and industrial resources, Greece managed to emerge as a winner on the world scene over time and to join the ranks of developed nations, before sinking into a notorious economic crisis that impacted its image and growth during the last decade. During this hour-long presentation we explore and discuss the underlying drivers of these developments, and pinpoint some of their potential implications for Greece and beyond.
Our speaker, Alex Kalamarides, a Physics Ph.D. graduate of Rice University, is a native of Greece and long-term member of the Hellenic community of Houston, well-known for his cultural presentations. To this subject he brings to bear his tenure as a management consultant in various countries with McKinsey & Company, as well as his experience as a market researcher and part-owner of research firm IntelliClear.
