On Saturday, September 22, Jones Park is partnering with the Bayou Land Conservancy and REI for National Public Lands Day. This is the largest single-day volunteer effort on public lands in the U.S. This year, volunteers we'll be working to help clear unwanted under-story vegetation, remove invasive plants, and pick up trash to “Jazz Up Jones”. As a bonus, all pre-registered volunteers will receive a free, exclusive t-shirt from REI!
Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Participants need to wear closed-toe shoes and bring their own gloves. Long pants, water, and a hat are recommended.
