Description

Once a month, usually on the fourth Saturday morning, Westbury Community Garden holds a volunteer work day where garden members are joined by corporate groups, church groups, student organizations and individuals to work on maintenance projects on the 7-acre WCG property.

The day may include mowing, weed-eating, mulching, collecting trash blown into the fields, weeding wild flower gardens, turning compost, maintaining walkways and the pavilion and other outdoor activities. Tools and gloves are provided.

We recommend wearing closed toe shoes or boots (no sandals) and a hat for sun protection. Sunscreen is recommended. Ice water and snacks are provided. There is a port-a-potty on site. There is a small parking lot or street parking. Please don't leave valuables in your car.

Please sign in and meet your work day coordinator under the pavilion at the garden.

We look forward to meeting you and thank you for your volunteerism and community service!
