Attend our Direct Volunteer Training session and become part of the heart and soul of our program.
Training is from 9am until 5pm on Saturday October 15, 2016. Training will cover reflective listening, boundaries and ethics, special LGBT issues, mental health issues, substance and health issues, as well as policies and procedures of the program and volunteer responsibilities. A Youth Worker job description is below:
Work directly with youth in our drop-in center, establish rapport, provide feedback and advice when requested by youth. Cooperate with facility team to provide safe, supportive environment for youth and staff. (3-6 hour shift biweekly. Six month commitment. Background checks and training required and provided by Tony’s Place.)
