What: Volunteers will help lower the fire fatality rate in Houston by installing smoke alarms in pre-canvassed homes that requested one.
When: Saturday, August 22, 2015
9:30 a.m. - Breakfast/Welcome/Training for volunteers at Lincoln Community Center (979 Grenshaw St, Houston, TX 77088)
10 a.m. - Teams depart to assigned routes along neighborhoods in 77088. Volunteers install a free smoke alarm for homes that had requested one.
12 p.m. - Gathering back at base for recap/sharing
Dress Code: Long pants, closed toed shoes, organization representative shirts/vests, or red t-shirt for Red Cross.
