The Intercity Food & Resource Center, in partnership with the African Christian Fellowship (ACF) Houston Chapter, invites you and your family to the Community Health & Wellness Resource Connect, a FREE community event taking place Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 10:00 AM–2:00 PM at 12204 Sharpview Drive, Houston, TX 77072. This family-focused event will connect residents with trusted healthcare, wellness, mental health, food assistance, insurance, and social-service resources. We are excited to welcome confirmed community partners and vendors, including MD Anderson Cancer Center, Harris County Precinct 4 Commissioner Lesley Briones, Harris Health, Bee Busy Learning Academy, Bee Busy Wellness Center, Culture of Health – Advancing Together, Houston Food Bank – Community Assistance Program (CAP), J. Pete & Associates Insurance, Missing Pieces Support Group, Community Health Choice, Creative Mental Wellness, Texas Department of State Health Services, Rose B. Johnson Colon Cancer Awareness Foundation, Creative Workouts, BakerRipley, MHREACH at Texas Southern University, Bo’s Place, Mi Familia en Acción, and Christus Foundation for Health Care. Attendees can expect health screenings and education, wellness demonstrations, mental health and family support, nutrition and food assistance resources, insurance information, community resource navigation, family-friendly activities, door prizes, and giveaways.
