WHAM has been chosen as one of the Charity Partners for the 2027 Houston Chevron Marathon!
Since the Marathon's inception in 1995, more than $42 million has been raised to benefit local Houston charities through Run for a Reason (RAFR) Program.
This incredible feat has been aided by the generosity and sense of social responsibility that many individuals and corporations in our city feel to give back to the communities in which they live and do business. The Run for a Reason Program is a way to raise money for your charity of choice while participating and supporting the Houston Chevron Marathon, Aramco 13.1 Half Marathon, and the 5K "We are Houston" .
Join the WHAM 2027 Chevron Marathon Team!
WHAM would love for you, your family and friends to join our WHAM Run for a Reason Team. We are looking for individuals and corporations who want to participate in the race and/or fundraise for us. As a Team member you will have support from your team members, be responsible to raise at least $250.00 for the 5K and at least $500.00 for the half and full marathons. We are working out details with a race trainer to have group training sessions as well. The level of Team involvement is up to you - no pressure. Here are the four options that support WHAM at the Houston Chevron Marathon with or without fundraising:
- To register to run AND commit to fundraise for WHAM, click Houston Marathon Registration . There is a minimum fundraising amount requirement.
- To register to run AND donate $350.00 to WHAM in addition to your entry fee, click Houston Marathon HERO Registration No other fundraising is involved.
- To commit to fundraise for WHAM and not run a race, click Houston Marathon WHAM Fundraise. There is no minimum fundraise amount required.
- To make a donation to WHAM and not run a race, click WHAM 2027 Houston Marathon Weekend of Events Fundraising Page
