Who We Are
Since 1989, SEARCH has been providing hope, creating opportunity, and transforming lives for thousands of men, women, and children who are trying to break free from the cycle of poverty and homelessness. At SEARCH, we maintain a vision of a Houston without homelessness.
What We Do
SEARCH is on the front lines, leading client engagement and case management, connecting people with homes and with jobs, providing early childhood education for children impacted by homelessness at SEARCH’s House of Tiny Treasures preschool, and spearheading local systems change. We serve as a key partner and implementer of The Way Home, the city’s community-wide, collaborative action plan for ending homelessness in Houston. Through our joint efforts, we have reduced the number of people experiencing homelessness in our city by more than 60% since 2011 and become a model for the rest of the nation in how to address this challenging societal issue.
