Fort Bend Seniors Meals on Wheels

Fort Bend Seniors Meals on Wheels (FBS) is committed to helping seniors remain independent by enhancing their quality of life through services and resources.

FBS serves all senior citizens age 60 and over living in Fort Bend and Waller Counties and programs are based on need, regardless of income.

• For active seniors, we provide hot meals and daily recreation activities at 12 congregate center locations. (Congregate centers are currently closed due to COVID-19)
  
  
• For home-bound seniors, we provide daily and weekly hot meal deliveries through a network of staff and volunteer drivers. Lunch deliveries are Monday-Friday between 10:30am and 1:30pm (Due to COVID-19 frozen meals are currently delivered once a week)

The primary focus of Fort Bend Seniors is the Meals on Wheels program. More than 438,000 meals were served in 2020, and this number continues to rise due to increased need in the region.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES INCLUDE:

• Meal Delivery (Monday-Friday between 10:30am and 1:30pm)
• Assisting with arts and crafts
• Hosting exercise or dance classes
• Serving on our speaker bureau
• Holding a donation drive
• Telephone assurance
• Providing clerical assistance
• Organizing outside fundraising events
