The Kids Reading Room

We need volunteer readers! We enhance the literacy of children by creating kid-friendly libraries in apartment communities. 

Volunteers read with elementary students in an under-resourced apartment community! We incorporate story time and participate in monthly crafts and holiday parties. We meet and greet parents and children and ensure all are reading for pleasure.

We are a nonprofit 501c3 organization set up in apartment communities in the Spring Branch and Houston area.
We promote literacy and instill the love of reading in children! We create leaders and change lives in positive ways! We open new doors for students and provide future opportunities we will never know.
