Girl Scouts builds girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place. Through hands-on learning, community service, and leadership opportunities, girls develop essential life skills while giving back to their communities.
In our local area, Girl Scouts provides girls from kindergarten through 12th grade with opportunities to explore STEM, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, outdoor adventure, and civic engagement. Girls participate in troop meetings, service projects, camps, and community events that encourage teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership.
Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. They serve as troop leaders, event helpers, mentors, and community partners supporting girls as they earn badges, plan service projects, and take on leadership roles. Together, volunteers and staff help create safe, inclusive spaces where girls can grow and thrive.
Girl Scouts also has a strong focus on community impact. Girls identify needs in their neighborhoods and take action through service projects and higher awards, often partnering with local nonprofits, schools, and businesses. These experiences help girls become active, engaged citizens while making a meaningful difference in the Houston community.
By supporting Girl Scouts through volunteering or partnership, individuals help empower the next generation of leaders while strengthening the community as a whole.
