Who We Are
Urban Agriculture Impact (UAI) is a Houston-based nonprofit mobilizing volunteers to grow food, restore green spaces, and expand access to fresh produce in underserved communities.
Working alongside Harlem River Farms, we activate community members, students, churches, and partners to turn underutilized land into productive growing spaces.
What We Do
Mobilize volunteers to build, maintain, and expand community gardens and urban farms across Houston.
-
Host Garden Crawls — coordinated, multi-site volunteer days focused on planting, harvesting, and infrastructure improvements.
-
Lead Grow More, Spend Less workshops that teach residents how to grow food at home and reduce grocery costs.
-
Organize Tree Giveaways to restore urban canopy and empower residents with planting knowledge.
-
Spearhead the Greening of Third Ward, a large-scale initiative restoring green spaces and expanding local food production.
-
Support produce distribution, starter plant giveaways, and hands-on education in partnership with Harlem River Farms.
