Fort Bend Partnership for Youth

Our mission is to deter or reduce youth involvement with the juvenile justice system by providing necessary items, support services and a variety of programs.

Adult volunteer mentors from the community are recruited, screened and trained to provide visitation to juveniles in the Fort Bend County Juvenile Probation Detention Center. The juveniles chosen to receive a mentor are usually those that do not have anyone coming to visit them, are going to be there longer than average, and just need one-to-one visits. This program is designed for mentors to provide support, listen and encourage the juvenile while they are being detained in the detention center. Visits occur in the center at designated times.
