Our Mission

Greens Bayou Coalition promotes resilience, economic development and quality of life in the Greens Bayou watershed.

Our Vision

We envision the Greens Bayou Corridor as the most sought-after place to live, work and play in Greater Houston.​

We accomplish our mission by:

• Advocating on local, state and national levels for funding and flood mitigation
• Developing parks and trail projects through strategic partnerships that increase property values and community safety
• Organizing cleanups and tree plantings along the waterway, improving water quality and reducing flooding impacts
• Providing community engagement opportunities for families through events and volunteer projects
• Promoting economic development through beautification and restoration of the bayou and hosting programs and events within the watershed
