Who We Are
The Village Connect is a 501c3 nonprofit focused on bringing personalized and comprehensive assistance to the episodically homeless population of Houston. Founded by 5 young professionals in March 2016 representing 20+ years of experience in working with homelessness, our mission is to provide representation, security, and stability to the homeless by working with providers, community leaders, and clients. By connecting organizations and services to each other and to the individuals who need them most, TVC is looking to create a village built on connectedness, trust, and transparency. We are actively looking to build our network with staff, volunteers, funding, and partners.
What We Do
Mission
Connecting organizations and individuals to create the Village needed to light a path towards stability and independence.
Vision
To foster an environment of connectedness with our local community in order to effectively address multiple issues of episodic homelessness at once. We believe that by working together, we can provide compassionate, personalized, and comprehensive care for the episodically homeless and A.L.I.C.E. of Houston.
Services
We work directly with community organizations and homeless individuals to develop creative solutions for addressing day-to-day needs and to promote comprehensive stabilization by connecting with organizations and businesses who can specifically address their needs. The target clients are those who have previously sought for services, but were met with constant challenges or obstacles or those who are on the brink of homelessness. Essentially, The Village Connect is looking to build services aimed at homelessness prevention and the “at-risk of homelessness”, or episodically homeless population.
