SPLASh, or Stopping Plastics & Litter Along Shorelines, was founded in 2020 in partnership with American Bird Conservancy, Gulf Coast Bird Observatory, and Black Cat GIS to address the threats of marine debris and plastic pollution on bird conservation. Through community science, education, and outreach we believe our vision of a Texas trash-free coastline is possible.
What We Do

- We engage local students through educational programs and field trip experiences.
- We conduct outreach activities through community events and social media.
- We work with local natural resource managers and municipalities to develop data-driven best management practices.
