Who We Are
You Discover Math’s mission is to empower communities through engaging math learning opportunities accessible for all students regardless of geographical location or economic status. You Discover Math envisions that one day, all math students will 1) Receive guidance from enthusiastic & caring role models, who help them discover the beauty of math, and 2) Learn math in a supportive community that develops confidence and character in all its members.
YDM aspires to grow as an increasingly-youth led, adult-mentored organization where young people develop their leadership skills while serving their community alongside young adult role models. We aim to expand our programs to include paid part-time employment roles, in which young people especially in economically underserved communities will earn money by helping accelerate YDM's mission while gaining relevant professional development skills at the same time.
