We distribute food twice a week to our neighbors in need. Currently, we serve close to 200 families each week and strive to provide a healthy and varied selection of food. We rely on volunteers to prep, sort and distribute food and interact with clients. We are sponsored by a number of Heights area churches and an array of community organizations.
We feed our community one neighbor at a time. We are an agency of the Houston Food Bank and serve clients in all Houston area ZIP codes. We need more than 40 volunteers each week to receive and distribute food. Volunteers need no prior experience--just a willingness to serve! We have shifts Wednesday - Saturday and offer options to suit most schedules. All shifts are open to those age 16 and up, and our Friday afternoon shifts are open to those ages 13-15 when accompanied by an adult.
