Job Title:                                ExxonMobil Intern Program Coordinator

Classification:                        Full Time (at least 35 hours)

Location:                                Houston, Texas

Pay Grade:                            $2,750 8 week program

 

Description

Coordinate activities related to a summer internship program for peers. Activities include: site visits to participating agencies, service projects, coordinating development seminars, social events and online networking.

Job Duties

  • Plan and lead events related to the Community Summer Jobs Program
    • Organize and manage three service projects for college students
    • Provide support for 2 development seminars
    • Organize 3 social lunches for college students at local restaurants
    • Manage all RSVPs for events
    • Take photos of all events and write follow-up reports
    • Gather necessary supplies for all events
    • Produce final program report for ExxonMobil
  • Perform on-site evaluations of internships
    • Contact agencies to establish a meeting schedule
    • Meet with both interns and supervisors to assess quality of internship
    • Listen for feedback and record comments
    • Summarize each internship with a brief written report
  • Oversee communication to interns regarding the CSJP
    • Establish email list for regular communication with interns
    • Provide ongoing support as needed
    • Develop Facebook account for interns and post new items regularly
    • Assure that all interns stay well-informed about the program
  • Engage in the larger work and mission of the Volunteer Houston office
    • Attend occasional staff and board meetings
    • Assist with other Volunteer Houston projects as needed

Education/Experience

  • Must be enrolled in college as a full time student for both the spring and fall semesters.
  • Must have completed freshman year of college and cannot be about to graduate.
