This person will be responsible for keeping track of pets we are trying to save from the shelter in our Potential Pulls tab of the spreadsheet, finding foster homes for them, and coordinating pick-up with the foster and the shelter. The Rescue team will also craft pleas and work with the marketing team or foster social media team to solicit new fosters and donations. The team lead will eventually become responsible for tagging pets from the shelter at the discretion of the Foster Manager.
Good Candidates: Current foster parents looking to get more involved or people who are very passionate and dedicated to rescue work. Good emotional strength/ability to see the positives in a difficult situation. Free during the day/afternoon.
Time Commitment: (Lead) ~4-5 hours/day 5-6 days/week; (Coordinator) ~4-5 hours/day however many days available.
We currently help the pets who are at risk of being put to sleep in a shelter. We focus on animals who have been passed over by other rescue groups and shelters’ adoption programs and have no other option. Therefore, we are complimentary to other rescue efforts.
We look forward to hearing from you!
