Description

Do you have just 3 hours a day and in a week to spare in fighting hunger in your community? "Everybody can be great. Because anybody can serve... You only need a heart full of grace." -Martin Luther King, Jr. Become a volunteer that will put a smile in the life of the hungry by the hours you give.

Target Hunger, a non-profit community based organization committed to alleviating hunger and its root causes in the neighborhoods we serve. We are desperately in need of warehouse volunteers, as well as senior and home bound distribution assistants.

First shift, starts from 7 am to 10 am and second shift starts from 10 am to 2 pm, Mondays through Wednesdays, and occasionally Thursdays and Fridays.

Activities:  include loading and unloading vans; sorting and boxing incoming food donations; building food boxes and bags for our senior and home-bound programs; and the on-site preparation and off-site delivery of food items to remote senior food distribution sites. These positions require being able to lift 25-35 lbs, repetitively. Closed toe shoes recommended.
